Frequently Asked Questions

DO YOU ACCEPT INSURANCE?

I do not currently accept insurance and am considered an Out-of-Network provider. However, I can issue a receipt of services, sometimes referred to as a Superbill, for you to submit for reimbursement if you are eligible. You'll need to check with your insurance carrier to find out what OON benefits are covered. Many clients receive 50-80% reimbursement on their investment in treatment.

WHAT TYPES OF PAYMENT ARE ACCEPTED?

I accept HSA cards, cash, Venmo, and all major credit cards. A credit card on file is required to schedule an appointment with me, but you may pay for each session using whichever method you prefer.

WHAT IS A "HOLISTIC APPROACH" IN THERAPY?

A holistic approach and framework acknowledges the connection between mind, body and spirit, which allows for deeper awareness and understanding of the person as a whole being.

IS EVERYTHING I SAY IN SESSION CONFIDENTIAL?

Yes. However, there are three main exceptions when any provider needs to break confidentiality, such as abuse of a minor or incapacitated adult, present danger or intent to harm self or others, and confidentiality may be waived if records are court-ordered.

DO YOU ONLY OFFER FAITH-BASED CHRISTIAN COUNSELING?

No. While my personal relationship with Jesus Christ and my Christian faith are an integral part who I am, I provide counseling to everyone, regardless of worldview or personal belief system. Everyone is welcome at my practice and will be treated with dignity, respect and compassion.

WHAT IS YOUR CANCELLATION POLICY?

We require at least 24 hours' notice to cancel your appointment in order to avoid being charged a fee; 48 or more hours is preferred if possible.

WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT FOR THE FIRST SESSION?

It's normal to feel nervous before and during the first session. I wrote in detail about what to expect on the About Page.
