Hello and welcome to the Compass Christian Counseling wellness blog

There is a lot of pressure out there targeted at writing the perfect first blog post, and I have to admit I've been staring down a blank screen for the better part of two weeks now. So I decided to just go for it and introduce myself and tell you a little about what this space is about.

About Me

My name is Bethany and I entered into the field of counseling later in life; my first career was teaching high school students, and I loved it. When I had my children, I chose to stay with them full-time and then simultaneously started and ran two small businesses for many years. Until I began feeling unsettled and couldn't shake the feeling that there was something else for me, but I wasn't even sure what it was.

Fast forward a few years and I here I am now, just getting my footing settling into a new state (thousands of miles from my native NH home and upbringing...and lots of family!) and figuring out my next steps professionally. But one thing remains the same: my passion for helping hurting people.

Mental Health Concerns and Issues

And writing articles and posts is another way for me to do that for people to access anytime, anywhere. I will be covering topics like affair and infidelity help, loneliness, disappointment, grief, miscarriage and adoption issues, and general wellness. So keep checking back!

My greatest prayer and desire is that these articles and posts help you feel understood and offer you at least a snippet of hope, but you should also know that if you are struggling, you should reach out to a professional. Make the call. Book the appointment. You have options and your well-being matters.
